Nepal Fest

Nepal Fest – नेपाल उत्सव activities are in full swing and we believe this is a good time for an update to you on what has happened so far and what is yet to come. 

Activities successfully completed so far:

  • Ping Pong Tournament → April 22nd
  • Walk and Bike → April 30th – To help educating poor and marginalized children in Nepal

What is yet to come: 

  • Blood Drive → May 7th to May 15th 
  • Tennis → May 20th and 21st
  • Elementary and Middle School Debate → May 21st
  • Volleyball → May 27th
  • Kids Soccer → June 4th
  • Soccer → June 10th and 11th 
  • Golf → June 17th
  • Free Community Health Fair (Provided by ICNA Org) → June 17th and June 18th
  • Arts Competition → June 17th and June 18th
  • Maths and Science Competition → June 17th and June 18th
  • Nepal Fest two day event → June 17th and 18th

Our Fest Program Lineup So far:

  • Parijita Bastola – Voice Contestant
  • Kelsey Montanez – American Idol Contestant
  • I.Deal and MIC LOGIK – American Rap Performer
  • Kalapadma Bharatnatyam – Dance School
  • Sama Sama Filipino Band
  • Undecided Band
  • Himalayan Band and Local Artists/Singers (Sangita Bogati, NIraj Shrestha, Sudha Khadka, Shankar Parajuli, Shreya Thapa, Sneha Shrestha, Jagadish Yadav, Aanya Thapa, Sourav Jojiju, Laxman Bayalkoti)
  • Ethnic Performances by our local organizations (Lali Guras, CNTS, CTS, Chicago Newa, Magar USA IL Chapter)
  • Group and Solo dances by Several community members
  • Kids and adult instrument, ganesh vandana and national anthems
